An extraction of a tooh, although unpleasant, is sometimes necessary in times of severe decay or bone loss due to periodontal (gum) disease. Extensive, more involved extractions, such as wisdom teeth, will be referred to one of our trusted oral surgeons for further evaluation and treatment. Consultation and xrays will be necessary to address the tooth needing the extraction, and Dr. Silver will determine if the care of an oral surgeon will be more suitable for your needs.
